1.1 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the promotional partnership between Yomo (“Yomo”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and MultiChoice Support Services (Pty) Ltd, trading as DStv Stream (“DStv”).
1.2 By participating in this promotion, you (“subscriber”, “member”, “you”, “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2.1 Identified Members of the National Youth Service (NYS) as well as active Yomo subscribers are eligible to receive one (1) month access to DStv Stream (“Promotional Access”).
2.2 The Promotional Access is limited strictly to a 30-day period calculated from the date of successful activation and is specifically applicable to the DStv Stream Access Package.
2.3 After expiry of the Promotional Access, continued use of DStv Stream will require the subscriber to become a paying DStv customer under DStv’s standard subscription fees and terms.
3.1 Members/Subscribers must follow the activation instructions communicated by Yomo and/or DStv.
3.2 Activation may take up to 5 days from the time all required information is successfully submitted.
3.3 Failure to provide accurate or complete information may delay or prevent activation.
4.1 Streaming on DStv Stream will consume mobile data at own cost.
4.2 Data usage and connectivity are subject to network availability, quality, and traffic conditions.
5.1 All standard DStv Stream Terms and Conditions, platform rules, user policies, content rights, and acceptable use requirements automatically apply to this promotion.
5.2 In the event of any conflict between these Terms and DStv’s Terms, DStv’s Terms shall prevail regarding use of the streaming service.
6.1 Yomo and DStv process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”).
6.2 By participating in this promotion, you expressly consent to Yomo sharing your personal information with DStv for the sole purpose of:
6.2.1 verifying eligibility;
6.2.2 activating Promotional Access;
6.2.3 customer support relating to the promotion.
6.3 DStv may process personal information only as required for service activation and usage.
6.4 Neither Yomo nor DStv will sell, distribute, or disclose personal information to unauthorised third parties unless required by law or with your further consent.
6.5 Members/Subscribers may request access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, or withdrawal of consent by contacting Yomo or DStv respectively.
6.6 Withdrawal of consent may result in cancellation of Promotional Access.
7.1 By participating in this promotion, members/subscribers may be requested to opt into receiving marketing, promotional, or service-related communications from Yomo or DStv.
7.2 Marketing communication will not be sent without prior consent, in accordance with POPIA and the Consumer Protection Act.
7.3 Subscribers may opt out of marketing at any time by using the unsubscribe link, replying STOP, updating account settings, or contacting customer support.
7.4 Opting out of marketing communications will not affect eligibility for the promotion.
8.1 The promotion is limited to one redemption per qualifying member/subscriber.
8.2 The Promotional Access is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and has no cash value.
8.3 Fraud, abuse, resale, manipulation, or commercial use may result in suspension or cancellation.
9.1 Access to DStv Stream and Yomo data services is dependent on network coverage, device compatibility, and third-party infrastructure.
9.2 Neither Yomo nor DStv guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free streaming, or specific performance quality.
10.1 Participation in this promotion is at the member/subscriber’s own risk.
10.2 Yomo shall not be liable for any loss, harm, injury, damages, data loss, corruption, system failure, or costs incurred while accessing or attempting to access the promotion.
10.3 Yomo assumes no responsibility for:
10.3.1 DStv platform performance,
10.3.2 content availability,
10.3.3 billing with DStv after Promotional Access expires,
10.3.4 device or technical failures.
10.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where prohibited under South African law.
11.1 Yomo reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the promotion at any time, subject to applicable laws.
11.2 Updated Terms will be made publicly available and continued participation constitutes acceptance of amended Terms.
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
12.2 Any disputes shall be resolved in South African courts with jurisdiction.
